Our Focus

Customer and Product Support

Our operations in Europe cover a variety of functions, including engineering, manufacturing, state-of-the-art research, and both remote and on-site services and maintenance, as well as sales and support. We also provide our customers with access to expertise from our global network. By utilising our vast supply chain and technical know-how, we help our customers uncover exciting new innovations and achieve immense value from their initiatives.

Industry/Academia Partnerships

We promote a thriving innovation network through collaborative research and development projects with top universities and research institutes, for instance, the School of Informatics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), the Minatec Grenoble Innovation Cluster (France) and the IMEC International R&D and Innovation hub (Belgium).

We support the EU Chips Act and believe in the initiative of a unified EU legislation to help increase the region’s chip capabilities amid booming demand across all sectors of the economy. Dedicated to developing initiatives in collaboration with industry, academia, and the government, we’re a deeply involved member of Horizon Europe, the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation. We contribute our knowledge and learnings and are an active part of the Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking – a Public-Private Partnership for R&D and Innovation.

Our strategy is built around three key pillars. It considers our direct impact and how we run our business (1X), our industry’s impact and those of our customers and suppliers (100X), and how our technology can be used to advance sustainability on a global scale (10,000X).

Diversity and Inclusion

In addition, Applied Materials Europe has taken an active role in philanthropic initiatives aimed at addressing issues such as hunger, supporting families in need, promoting equality for the LGBTQ+ community, improving the lives of children with disabilities, and helping those affected by the war in Ukraine.
