Global Supply Chain Program

If you want to work at the heart of the global semiconductor industry – the supply chain itself – Applied’s Global Supply Chain Program is an ideal launch pad for your career.

Details: This is an 18-month rotation program with 6-month assignments in 3 different supply chain roles focused on purchasing, material program management and commodity business management. During this comprehensive hands-on introduction to Applied’s dynamic global supply chain, you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on cutting-edge and transformational initiatives

Eligibility: New college/university graduates with a bachelor’s degree or MBA in supply chain management or equivalent.

Location: In the U.S., we offer this program at Applied locations in Austin, TX, and Santa Clara, CA

What You’ll Learn: During the program, you will:

  • Complete three rotations in the areas of material program management, purchasing and commodity business management
  • Learn about different supply chain groups inside Applied and work on transformational supply chain initiatives
  • Visit our clean rooms (manufacturing floors) for a firsthand look at the material and production lines you support
  • Visit supplier facilities to see how material is manufactured and understand how upstream supply chains work
  • Enjoy social events and “buddy” pairings, build your network, and receive support as you acclimate to a new city and to post-university life
  • Learn negotiation, presentation and program management skills
  • Receive guidance in finding a permanent role within the company where you can settle into your new career
