What’s New: Applied Materials recently held its Engineering Technology conference – a longstanding tradition where the company brings together its top engineers and scientists from around the world to foster collaboration and share ideas for future innovations.

One of the highlights of the event was a fireside chat between Applied President and CEO Gary Dickerson and Nvidia President and CEO Jensen Huang. This inspiring discussion between two industry leaders covered a lot of ground: from the reinventing of the entire computing stack to the future of agentic AI systems and the role of semiconductor technology in enabling energy-efficient scaling of AI and accelerated computing. Jensen also shared his advice for young engineers starting out in their careers. “It doesn’t matter what the task is, if it’s my turn to do the job I do it the best I can,” he said. “Whatever task you’re assigned to, do it the best you can.”
