We may disclose your personal information with our service providers and suppliers, including but not limited to recruiters; background check providers; legal and other advisors; consultants; security service providers; hosting, cloud and other IT services providers; and with government agencies or other third parties to comply with the Company’s legal obligations as specified in this Notice and our Privacy Policy

If it is necessary for us to transfer your personal information due to a merger, acquisition, division, dissolution, declaration of bankruptcy, or other reasons, we will notify you of the name and contact information of the receiving party upon the conclusion of the above actions and contractually require the receiving party to continue fulfilling legal obligations to you and to comply with this Notice.

Retention Period of Personal Information

Applied Materials retains your personal information for as long as it is necessary to accomplish the purposes for which it was collected, unless otherwise required by law.

We determine how long we keep your personal information based on an assessment of legal, contractual, and compliance obligations. We also consider your employment status, the protection of our rights, and our obligations for the protection of the rights of others.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not "sell" personal information, nor do we "share" it for cross-contextual behavioral adverting.

When you exercise any of these rights, we will not discriminate against you. Unless permitted by the law, we will not:

  • Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.
  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.

However, we may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the law that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels.

To exercise any of your rights, or to learn more about your rights, please submit a request by emailing DataProtection@amat.com with the subject line "California Rights Request.”  Upon the receipt of a request, we may ask you some questions in order to verify your identity and process your request. We may also request clarifying information from you to ensure we clearly understand the submitted privacy request. 

Authorized Agent

You can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf if:

  • The authorized agent is a natural person or a business entity registered with the Secretary of State of California and the agent provides proof that you gave the agent signed permission to submit the request; and
  • You directly confirm with Applied that you provided the authorized agent with permission to submit the request.

If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to exercise your rights, please provide any information Applied requests to verify your identity.
