Applied Materials Inspired Possibilities at SEMICON West 2012

Inspiring Possibilities™, Applied Materials went beyond mere displays of our latest technologies, engaging attendees in envisioning where the mobility era might lead.

Using a cool augmented reality 3D interface, our technologists captivated attendees, who activated chip-building processes right in the palms of their hands, twisting and turning them for different views.

Attendees saw Applied Materials’ technologies enabling the mobile age through key technology inflections driving chip designs. A tweet from the Semiconductor Industry Association called it an “amazing 3D demonstration on how transistors are made.”

The main booth’s large video display constantly updated press quotes, tweets, attendee input, and images of the new systems launched at the show.
