Jim Cushing is senior director at Applied Materials, Inc. and head of Business Management and Global Field Operations for Baccini Cell Systems (BCS). He also leads the global Product Management group for all Solar Products.

Cushing joined Applied in 1994 in the semiconductor front end equipment division. He has held a number of positions including manager for Asia Business Development, director of Product Marketing and chief marketing officer. He also led the 45 nanometer Advanced Gate Dielectric development team.

Cushing began his career Western Technology focusing on automation and control where he also started and ran a systems integration business unit.

Cushing received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University.
