Applied Materials offers a wide range of internship and co-op positions that provide qualified students with hands-on experience in a corporate environment, critical professional skills, and high-level knowledge about the electronics industry.

As an intern for Applied Materials, you’ll work for the global leader in nanomanufacturing technology solutions for the electronics industry and meet some of the most innovative professionals in the industry. Student Benefits

Interns and co-op participants receive a benefits package that includes 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, holiday pay, relocation assistance (when eligible), and access to the Applied Materials Wellness Center. Medical insurance may be available as an option. Positions vary in both duration and location and are paid.

For technical positions, we require an A.S., B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, systems engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent.

Business internship projects within the Internship/Co-op Program include, but are not limited to:

  • Buying
  • Planning
  • Contract Negotiations
  • Financial Analysis
  • Human Resources
  • Business Process Development Analysis

For business positions, we require a B.S. in supply chain management, finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent.
