Touchscreen technology is relatively new, but is already ubiquitous across a wide variety of applications. PVD technology is the method used to deposit ultra-thin conducting, insulating and optical enhancing film layers. Two dominant touchscreen technologies are used in today’s most advanced displays: projected capacitive touch and in-cell touch panels. Screens produced with in-cell technology use a thinner, tougher protective cover glass that requires fewer manufacturing steps. These displays enable thinner, higher resolution devices and provide an improved viewing experience.
